Inspire: Digital practices and engaging students online

Being ‘good’ with digital technology isn’t a useful concept as we all have different things we are trying to achieve. Similarity, being ‘digitally literate’ is not necessarily about being able to use all the latest software and online platforms. Invited speaker, David White, proposes that in an educational context the question should be ‘how do we want to engage with our students to help them learn?’. In this session we will map our own digital skills and practices to start a discussion about what modes-of-engagement we might value and to explore the students digital experience of the education we provide.
